The Irish Channel is a neighborhood found in New Orleans that was born out of the working, middle class. It has always been a middle class type of neighborhood and has recently undergone a restoration and renovation. The neighborhood still remains as one of those quintessential choices in New Orleans.
The neighborhood is found near Tchoupitoulas and Magazine Street and bound by Louisiana and Jackson Avenues. It was once home to many dock workers, but over the years the neighborhood has changed.
